Well, I haven't actually had any problems with my sims phone's, because I've noticed that many people have complained, saying that whenever a sims gains interest in a new hobby, the phones constantly ring about these hobbies. So I've learnt not to make my sims become interested in too many hobbies! And of course, my sims aren't very social or nice, so I occasionally delete the phone, because it's no big deal anyway - my sims have hardly any friends anyways! ;D

And of course, my sims aren't very social or nice, so I occasionally delete the phone, because it's no big deal anyway - my sims have hardly any friends anyways! That's actually a very smart idea. I never really thought of that, seeing as I got so caught up about the phone I didn't even bother to think of a way to get around it. Although do your sims have FreeWill off? Because I always have it on, so it makes it more difficult keeping my sims away from activities they gan gain enthusiasm in ;D

Well I'm buying FreeTime today, and I came across this topic aabout the phone constantly ringing. Why exactly does it ring non-stop? I had a feeling it may have been some sort of bug in the game, but by the sounds of it, it seems like it's affecting everybody who has the game. Does this ruin the whole expansion pack. Should I not buy it then?

The ringing phone doesn't really bother me. Who ever is free answers it and if it's a hobby person and they don't want who answered the phone the person they want is "not available."
Skill building for jobs increases enthusiasm for some of the hobbies. Cleaning is nature, cooking is cuisine, mechanical is tinkering, body is fitness, creativity is either arts and crafts or film and lit (depends on how they get it- easel ---> arts and crafts; write a novel ---> film and lit; not sure what reading the book from the education career reward adds to.) So, if they have a job (or are a YA), they will probably pick up enthusiasm for something while studying.
I don't get any hobby related calls except when my Sims are doing hobby related activities and their enthusiasm increases.
