When the Sims 2 was created, I know many people that thought it was too complicated and preferred the "simpler" original Sims games. What do you think the Sims 3 will be like - will it be very different from the Sims 2, like the Sims 2 was to the original Sims? Also, what would you like to see in the Sims 3?
I think that there should be automatically pets and seasons(no expansion pack needed), but it shouldn't be toooo complicated because it may become less fun.... Anywho, what are your thoughts on this?

Well they are still releasing eps for the sims 2. I think they are REALLY rushing these games. They should at least give all the simmers time to enjoy the sims 2 before upgrading to the sims 3. although i do like the sound of a sims 3

I was told that vehicles will be included with the base game. Yippee! And I think that the sims 3 is supposed to be almost so realistic that you can create people to look just like real people you know. But either way, I am definitely going to get this. Even if my computer goes slower because of it, I don't really care

Well maxis have told simmers that they are making the game pretty much life-like. So now, we can create sims to look just like people in real life! (Such as family and friends). We can also now walk to other lots without having to load and exit the lot. And we can see neighbours walking past etc etc And I personally think it's good that they've decided to include vehicles in the sims 3

i like the fact that you can walk from lot to lot without loading and saving the current lot because i seriouly hate going downtown or somewere other than the lot i'm on.

I think they need cars and Seasons automatically in the base game. And Pets. Otherwise, i will not buy it right away.

I think they need cars and Seasons automatically in the base game. And Pets. Otherwise, i will not buy it right away. Yeah I agree, but I don't think they should make all the seasons and pets stuff as complicated. Constantly having to go shopping to buy outerwear was a nightmare. But I definitely want cars in the base game. What the pont of even having a sim family if they can't actually drive anywhere? It's like they're just stuck in one place and thats it. But still, the sims 3 sounds good. I'm hoping they'll add things from the original sims - like fans, spiral staircases and things like superstar and Makin Magic. good old times

Well I never had Makin' Magic, so I think it would be great if they spiced it up a little and added Makin' Magic, superstar and Vacation....they were the best, and i can't really think of the rest ;D
But I checked out their official site and I saw the screenshots and personally i think the sims 2 (with the peoples faces) looked a lot nicer. Maybe I wasn't looking properly, but it just looked liked they'd made it so realistic that it looks extremely complicated etc.
But anyways, what are your thoughts on it now?

I have heard its going to be released on 20th February 2009. I will be booking that day off work for sure.
The game looks amazing but as its based on 1 single neighborhood I don't get how they will make expansions for it. From the screen shots its looks like it already has cars as there is this pic that shows a car with a plum bob following it but that could also be a taxi or a carpool too I suppose.
